FTL - Field Team Leader
DEFINITION:
 |
A FTL (Field Team Member), is an individual that has successfully completed all training requirements as set forth below. |  |
The FTL is capable of leading SAR operations, in any weather, day or night, any time of year. |  |
The FTL is responsible for briefing, documentation, and completion of any tasks of any field team to which they are assigned. |  |
The FTL candidate should be an experienced FTM prior to being considered for the grade of FTL. |
QUALIFICATIONS:
 |
Is a member in good standing of SCSAR |  |
Has met the all criteria for FTM, and has been a FTM on at least 5
searches. (Training or Actual) |  |
Demonstrate familiarity with all mission forms related to ground
operations. |  |
Demonstrate documentation of clues, clue and scene preservation. |  |
Ability to brief team in a timely and concise manner. |  |
Ability to instruct untrained volunteers for use in Grid Searches. |  |
Demonstrate ability to supervise trained and untrained searchers in
the field. |
